Districts that become members of the HR Services program have access to data, publications, training, and expert consulting services in the area of human resource (HR) management.

Resources

The Member Library offers model forms and letters, in addition to resources on HR topics, and our online bookstore features publications and pro

ducts available for purchase.

Charlie Nitschmann, Willie Martinez, and Luz Cadena (HR Services).The Model Employee Handbook, a sample handbook that correlates to TASB Policy Manual policy codes, can be accessed by members on line and easily customized to match local policies. Model Job Descriptions, available for download, lists sample job descriptions for more than 140 titles.
An online newsletter, HR Exchange, provides current news and information on human resource issues and practices in public schools. For more information visit hrservices.tasb.org.



DataCentral

Members can subscribe to DataCentral and create or download custom survey reports on salaries, stipends, and benefits for more than 120 common school jobs in Texas. Other survey data on HR practices in school districts also is available on demand.

Training

HR Services has a workshop to meet every need for those who deal with human resource issues at the school district level. Training is available in Austin, at regional workshops, and in members’ home districts (neighboring districts can join in to reduce costs). See HR Services for more training information.
